It’s the oldest story in the world. One day you’re 17 and planning for someday. And then quietly and without you ever really noticing, someday is today. And then someday is yesterday. And this is your life.
We spend so much time wanting, pursuing, wishing. But ambition is good. Chasing things with integrity is good. Dreaming.
If you had a friend you knew you’d never see again, what would you say? If you could do one last thing for someone you love, what would it be? Say it, do it, don’t wait. Nothing lasts forever.
Make a wish and place it in your heart. Anything you want. Everything you want.
Do you have it? Good. Now believe it can come true.
You never know where the next miracle’s gonna come from.
The next memory. The next smile. The next wish come true.
But if you believe that it’s right around the corner.
And you open your heart and mind to the possibility of it. To the certainty of it.
You might just get the thing you’re wishing for.
The world is full of magic. You just have to believe in it.
So make your wish. Do you have it?
Good. Now believe in it.
With all your heart.
For weeks I’ve been delaying watching the finale knowing there won’t be another season to wait. Nine years of inspiration. ‘Goodbye to a magical place.’
My forever favorite. There’s only One Tree Hill.

One Tree Hill
“Tree Hill is just a place somewhere in the world. Maybe it’s a lot like your world. Maybe it’s nothing like it. But, if you look closely you might see someone like you. Someone trying to find their way; someone trying to find their place; someone trying to find their self.”

JULIAN: It is a man bag, by the way.
NATHAN: Oh, you mean that purse? One Tree Hill, Nobody Taught Us To Quit, 8.05

Nathan: I screw up a lot, alright? And being around you, I just, I don’t want to be that guy anymore.
Haley: Well who do you want to be, Nathan?
Nathan: I want to be someone who’s good enough to be seen with you.1.08 - The Search For Something More
“Where are you now?
As I’m swimming through the stereo
I’m writing you a symphony of sound
Where are you now?
As I rearrange the songs again
This mix could burn a hole in anyone
But it was you I was thinking of.”
HALEY: Crisis intervention hotline. How can I help you?
THE WOMAN: Yeah. Um…I’m not sure if I should be calling. I’m having a hard time, and I just needed someone to talk to.
HALEY: Okay. What’s your name?
THE WOMAN: Do I have to give my name?
HALEY: No.
THE WOMAN: I’d rather not.
HALEY: Uh, well, why don’t you tell me what’s wrong?
THE WOMAN: Well, that’s why I’m not sure if this is where I should be calling. Because it’s…It’s sort of everything, and it’s nothing. I mean, when I think of my life and who I am…I guess I’m just struggling to believe in it all, you know? That good things will happen to good people, that things will work out, that it gets better. Are you still there?
HALEY: Yes.
THE WOMAN: Maybe this was a mistake.
HALEY: No. It wasn’t. This is exactly where you should be calling. Tell me what you’re afraid of and what makes you feel like this.
THE WOMAN: Failure, I guess.
HALEY: We all struggle. It’s part of life. It’s part of living. Do you have anybody that can help you while you struggle?
THE WOMAN: No. And that’s the worst part…the loneliness.A crushing, black loneliness that makes me feel like…like there’s no magic left in the world.
HALEY: I know the future is scary. I know the world can be threatening. But you should know that sometimes when things seem most the desperate, people find you. Help is out there. And you are not alone.
i’ve just finished watching this episode and thinking of blogging this part.
